With its IndiTherm-Mobile betacontrol is offering a new service for quality-assurance. Thus the company guarantees an optimal material quality in the production process, which match exactly the customer requirements.

The system that IndiTherm-Mobile utilises is used in the thermographic measuring of flat sheet materials during production processes and may be employed directly at production lines. Thanks to an intelligent image-processing system, the mobile unit delivers reliable information about materials' heat-related compositions to users. Expressive values are achieved by measurements being carried out at over 200,000 pixels, temperature resolutions of up to 1 mK at 768 columns spatial resolution and measuring rates of one hertz. While conventional measuring solutions only use single cameras, the IndiTherm-Mobile system employs two cameras that each produce 50 images per second.

IndiTherm-Mobile is especially employed in the fields of process analysis and process control. It allows actual in-situ qualities to be determined during flat-film extrusion, film and board calendering, blow-film extrusion and during heating and cooling sequences. The system may also be used in heat-treatment and drying processes.

Fields of application include monitoring and error analyses in regard to temperature homogeneity, vertical and horizontal strips in material sheets, conveyor screw errors in extruders and temperature errors on cooling rollers caused by deposits within the cooling circuit as well as for monitoring surface temperatures on cooler rollers following repairs.
