The Maschinenfabrik Albrecht Bäumer laid the foundation for betacontrol's success
| 1996 | betacontrol was certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001. Through rigorous compliance with this quality standard, betacontrol is able to offer its customers a consistently high level of availability. |
| 1977 | betacontrol was founded as a new division of the machine factory in Freudenberg. Shortly thereafter, the company based in Freudenberg (NRW) acquired the "Industrial Process Control Technology" production operation from the Swiss Landis + Gyr company. |
| 1988 | betacontrol was spun-off as an independent GmbH (plc). |
| 1992 | The specialist for instrumentation, control and automation (ICA) technology founded betacontrol of America in Towaco, New Jersey in a first effort to establish a global presence. Over 80% of the systems exported by the company go to the markets in Asia, the Middle East and the U.S. |
| 1995 | The betacontrol Development Department was founded. |

| 2002 | betacontrol initiated cooperation with Siemens in the field of automation technology with Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D). |

| 2009 | With IndiCam 100 and IndiTherm betacontrol develops two innovative systems for non-contact measurement of flat materials. |

| 2010 | With IndiTherm-Mobile betacontrol presents a new service in the field of thermographical measurement of materials. |
| 2011 | betacontrol presents IndiRay, an X-ray based and licence-free measuring system which ensures highest precision. |
